Hope everyone has had a great week. With commencement in the rearview mirror and summer schedules taking shape, teams in Operational Excellence are going strong. Take a look at how we’re moving forward in each workstream:
- The Research Design Team conducted interviews in different units to learn how they carry out research administrative functions. They also started designing solutions to streamline the award setup process.
- The Travel and Expense Initiative team is wrapping up their recommendations to clarify travel policies. Next week they move to Phase II of their work. Stay tuned!
- The HR Team continued their work on student employment and managing positions. The student employment group is entering solution mode and plans to design trainings, gather resources, and establish guiding best practices for the campus community. The procedure codification group is taking a deeper dive into managing position descriptions by standardizing principal functions within HR roles.
Early Impact work continues to make great progress. Cohort 2 is well on their way and we’re already making plans for the rollout of Cohort 3. Many in our final cohort have already started using the resources. Nice work everyone!
