Welcome to May everybody! While much of campus is focused on exams, OE teams are in solution-mode. Here is the latest from those efforts:

  • The research project life cycle effort and the research sub-team for roles and responsibilities prioritized potential solutions and began the design phase for improving proposal submission quality, addressing departmental response time and enhancing the award negotiation process.
  • The finance travel and expense initiative team (formerly called the sub-team for roles and responsibilities) is focusing on travel and expense reimbursement and began a more in depth look at policies that govern everything from setup of travel to reimbursement of expenses post trip. This will guide the next few weeks of work.
  • The human resources sub-team for roles and responsibilities began to evaluate the current state of student employment on campus and explore potential solutions to clarify roles and responsibilities, and align policies and procedures that cut across several areas of work. The team also began to examine policies and procedures for establishing and updating positions.
