Hope your month of July is going well – our team has been busy designing and piloting our current initiatives as well as rolling out the Early Impact work to the final cohort. Here are the latest workstream updates:
- The Travel & Expense Team continues to collect feedback on the new Travel & Expense website resources from the three pilot units: the Kenan-Flagler Business School, Undergraduate Admissions, and the Department of City and Regional Planning.
- The HR Team’s student employment group continues working on the new student employment website, including building content that will help guide supervisor and hiring representatives. On standard principle functions, we are working on the new glossary of HR terms in the Hiring Playbook and building out standard principle functions for IT positions.
- The Research Team continues developing the playbooks focused on award setup with industry and nonprofit sponsors while piloting the federal playbook to 11 participating departments/units.
For the Hiring and Procurement Early Impact Work, Cohort 3 schools and units continue to rollout their training sessions to their hiring and purchasing personnel. We have now had over 400 hiring events since the beginning of 2019 and the average hiring time has been 45 days. We continue to make progress in procurement, with over 85% of transactions under $250 being processed with one of the preferred payment methods.
