Good afternoon,

I hope that you are doing well! The Operational Excellence Team continues to support the University with its preparation for bringing faculty, staff and students back to campus. No doubt, the campus will look very different this fall. It will not only physically look different, but in some cases, it will feel different in the way that we go about our daily work. Change will be all around us.  We will be operating in that “new normal” that many have talked about over the past five months.

As I think about that “new normal”, I think back to twenty-three months ago when we were just getting started with Operational Excellence. For example, targeting the challenge of being able to hire staff in 45 days, which would allow us to hire our first-choice candidate. 95% of our hiring managers now say that they have been able to hire their first-choice candidate. That is our “new normal” for hiring!
