This week, the Operational Excellence Data Use & Literacy project unveiled a new home for University-level dashboards, the Carolina Analytics Portal at analytics.unc.edu. I want to congratulate the design and data teams for this achievement, led by Transformation Manager Candace Reynolds, as well as our campus partners Lynn Williford, Assistant Provost for Institutional Research and Assessment, Mike Barker, Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, and Becci Menghini, Vice Chancellor for Human Resources and Equal Opportunity and Compliance.
The Carolina Analytics Portal currently includes 18 dashboards in four categories: Academics, Finance, Human Resources, and Research. All but one dashboard, the new HR Salary Dashboard also developed by this design team, existed prior to this project, but the campus community was accessing them from a variety of different locations. Now, employees have a one-stop shop for University-level dashboards.
Access for each dashboard is managed separately and has not changed. You will not have access to all of the dashboards on the site. Each dashboard’s page provides a description of the dashboard, intended audience, intended use and a contact for questions.
We hope the Carolina Analytics Portal and Salary Dashboard will lay the foundation for future data use and literacy projects on campus. I encourage you to visit analytics.unc.edu and explore the new Carolina Analytics Portal for yourself!
