Good afternoon,
Beginning in September 2021, the Operational Excellence team had the great pleasure to begin working with Dean Fouad Abd-El-Khalick and the UNC School of Education, to open the Carolina Community Academy at North Elementary in Roxboro, NC. In partnership with Person County Schools, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill launched CCA to serve the students, families, and community in Person County.

Designed as a “school within a school” to offer students a seamless transition to North Elementary, CCA is built on a whole education philosophy and will provide robust wrap-around services to students and families, exceptional teaching and learning experiences, and innovative integrated curriculum. The school will welcome the first cohort of kindergarten students on Monday, August 29th.
It’s been an incredible learning experience working with so many incredible partners across the university, UNC System Office, and Person County Schools. Collaboration and creative problem-solving can make the seemingly impossible, possible!
