Good afternoon,

On October 26th and 27th, the Operational Excellence team hosted the first official sessions of our OE Lean Foundations Training. As I have shared in previous messages, this half-day course is designed to be an introduction to lean management tools and shed light on the foundational improvement principles utilized throughout Operational Excellence’s work.

To celebrate the launch of our training, we’ve created a new OE Training webpage which shares the learning objectives of our program, upcoming session dates (to be posted next month), and our new Lean Foundations Training Dashboard. Throughout all our work, we aim to be data driven and use key metrics to help us evaluate and then direct change.

Not only will this dashboard help us continuously improve our training through your feedback (collected in a post training survey), but we hope it will give you a glimpse into what a session is like, the experiences of previous participants and the diversity of thought present at each session.

How do you use data to drive decisions in your work? Please feel free to share this email with your colleagues. Also, be sure to visit our website to learn more about Operational Excellence, read my previous updates and submit feedback

If you have any questions, please reach out to me at wernoski@email.unc.edu. I read every email.

Thanks,
Rick
