As many of you know, the OE team strives to promote and practice a mindset of continuous improvement throughout campus-wide administrative operations. I am excited to announce that we will be starting another round of listening tours to ensure we fulfill that goal. We first held listening tours in the fall of 2018. From those conversations emerged operational challenges where OE recognized the opportunity to improve and created a structured approach to better service the campus community.
The OE team values the community’s opinions and wants to hear what schools and units have to say about the University’s current administrative processes and operations. Earlier in the week, we began to reach out to schedule the listening tours and we hope to have the schedules finalized by the end of January. The conversations during the listening tours will give us an opportunity to garner information, identify common threads and improve existing processes and operations while revealing potential for future university-wide projects.
The partnerships formed and opportunity to collaborate on cross-wide initiatives proves to support and progress the University’s key mission of teaching, research, and public service. OE aims to act as a catalyst for change and a champion of transformation as we continue to partner with campus units and schools to develop and implement sustainable transformative change.
