Good afternoon,

How do you manage failure or the challenges that you face in your work?  The image below metaphorically aligns with Operational Excellence’s mission to act as a catalyst for change and a champion of transformation. The left square reflects a common perception of failure as a negative endpoint. This narrow perspective hinders the transformational mindset. Operational Excellence’s approach encourages a deeper exploration of challenges, much like the right square depicting failure as a multi-dimensional cube.

The cube considers the impact of lessons and represents failure as an opportunity for sustainable transformative change. Just as Operational Excellence leads the University’s schools, departments and units through the development and implementation of change, the cube suggests that embracing failure as a source of valuable lessons is crucial for achieving excellence.

If you or someone you know is interested in helping the University achieve excellence through transformative change, the Operational Excellence Team is hiring for a Transformation Manager. Learn more about the position on the Careers at Carolina site  and reach out should you have any questions. The application closes on Sept. 5.

Please feel free to share this email with your colleagues.
