The Carolina Excellence team is going full steam ahead. Our new design teams are delving into the work to develop solutions.

  • As part of the roles and responsibilities design team, sub-teams in Human Resources, Finance and Research Administration are each examining the current state of roles and responsibilities and finalizing their goals for the project. The team is also beginning to translate the frustrations heard during the listening tours into specific issues that will be the team’s focus.
  • The research project lifecycle team continued its collaboration to identify and prioritize the processes of the lifecycle, weighing those with the principles that will guide the process. Investing time in this process is expected to make impactful change in helping Carolina to have the opportunity to grow its research enterprise.
  • In early impact projects in hiring and procurement, the hiring pilot is in its 15th week while the procurement pilot is in its eighth week. And the first cohort is in its third full week of implementation. Plans for the beginning the second cohort are in the final stages, with invitations expected to go out in the coming weeks.
