From Problem to Project Workshop is a training program for UNC Chapel Hill employees that teaches a strategic approach to problem solving. Using the A3 problem solving framework and a current challenge brought by each participant, we will demonstrate how to turn a problem into an executable project.

Required prework: attendees must submit a detailed description of a current problem. The problem you submit will be the basis of your work throughout the training as you put key tools and concepts into practice to turn your problem into an actionable project.

This training is intended for staff at all levels of the organization with project management responsibilities. Prior exposure to Lean principles, such as the Operational Excellence Lean Foundations is recommended.

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

+ Understand how to clearly define and scope a problem.
+ Apply techniques to build a project charter.
