It is hard to believe October is already here! Along with the changes to the weather, a big change happening on campus is faculty and staff who are unvaccinated begin weekly testing in the Carolina Together Testing Program (CTTP) on Monday, October 4. The Operational Excellence team has supported the CTTP since its development last fall and launch in January, but with the upcoming inclusion of employees OE’s support has taken a slightly different angle.
Rather than working directly to support the enrollment and testing at CTTP, OE worked to encourage more employees to get vaccinated and complete their COVID-19 Certification Form by taking the Carolina Together Ambassadors Golden Ticket program virtual. Starting September 15, all students, faculty, and staff who attest to being vaccinated receive a virtual Golden Ticket. Just like the tickets being handed out by our ambassadors on campus, these virtual tickets can be activated for weekly prize drawings starting today.
Team members also worked with campus partners to increase the number of prizes available – there are now over 560 UNC Student Stores Gift Cards, campus food vouchers, and additional prizes that are part of the drawings. Finally, all of those who register their Golden Ticket by November 5 will be entered into a special UNC Athletics drawing for basketball tickets and a special Nike prize package.
By working with our existing rewards program, the OE team established an incentive that has helped increase the number of vaccine certifications by over 400 employees in the past two weeks.
