Good afternoon,

I am delighted to announce that the OE team is currently working on a Course Setup — Waitlist Project.  This project builds on the work completed during our Course Setup — Reserve Capacity project and seeks to create a more seamless and effective enrollment process by demystifying the waitlist component of registration. The project aims to 1) evaluate and improve ConnectCarolina functionality, 2) develop clear and accessible information across campus, and 3) establish a strategy to apply and use waitlists campus-wide. For this work, we are taking a Solution Design approach and the design team members include:

  • Lauren DiGrazia, Office of the University Registrar
  • Jessika Harris, Office of the University Registrar
  • Simon Bloor, Accessibility Resources and Service
  • Ashiya Campbell, Office of the Chancellor
  • Maribel Carrion, Information Technology Services
  • Genevieve Cecil, College of Arts and Sciences
  • Chelse Cochrane, College of Arts and Sciences
  • Julie Dockens, Information Technology Services
  • Jen Drake, Enrollment Management
  • Lisa Johnson, School of Education
  • Sam Johnson, Graduate student
  • Julia Lawson, Kenan-Flagler Business School
  • Alexander Sumner, Undergraduate student
  • Erin Willis, College of Arts and Sciences

This project is led by Transformation Manager Nick Sengstaken. Like all OE projects, this project relies on collaboration with campus partners. We’re thankful to Vice Provost for Enrollment Rachelle Feldman, Assistant Provost and University Registrar Lauren DiGrazia, and Senior Associate Dean for Operations and Strategy at the College of Arts and Sciences Kate Henz for their partnership and leadership on this project.
