Good afternoon,

Last month, Transformation Managers Georgia McRae and Nick Sengstaken became certified change management trainers after completing Prosci’s Train-the-Trainer Program Level 1. This certification enables them to continue transforming OE’s educational offerings by expanding into the world of change management and helping our campus community deliver project results.

Exploring Prosci’s approach to change management has been incredibly rewarding for our team. All of our Transformation Managers are Prosci-certified change practitioners, which equips them with the necessary tools to shepherd sustainable and transformative change across Carolina. We’re excited to bring these skills to our campus community and discuss how to:

  • Define change management
  • Lay the foundation for applying change management on projects to improve outcomes through increased adoption
  • Identify impacted employee groups
  • Understand how change management drives better adoption and usage
  • Build a common language and vision of change management
  • Build support for change management with project teams

We look forward to sharing these strategies with you in future campus-wide training offerings.

Also, I’m excited to welcome Transformation Manager Chelsea Cochrane to the OE team. Chelsea joins the OE team from UNC Advising where she served as a special projects manager. Chelsea is a proactive problem solver deeply committed to advancing higher education and fostering continuous improvement. Welcome to the OE team, Chelsea. We can’t wait to see what you will accomplish.

Please feel free to share this email with your colleagues. You can also visit our website to learn more about Operational Excellence, read my previous updates, and submit feedback. If you have any questions, please reach out to me at wernoski@email.unc.edu. I read every email.
