The Operational Excellence Residency Program is a four-to-six-month professional development program designed for individuals seeking to gain a better understanding of the Transformation and Continuous Improvement process. Residents will be expected to commit up to 5-10 hours a week and will work directly with an OE Transformation Manager to plan, facilitate and participate in design teams, engage with faculty and staff from across the university, and learn the ins and outs of the OE toolbox.

The program is structured to provide experiential learning in a university setting and is open to all staff currently employed by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Applications can be submitted below and will be reviewed on a rolling basis with deadlines in line with upcoming design team projects. We kindly ask for your patience as it may take some time to review, process, and approve applications. Please continue to visit the OE website for Residency Program opportunities. Inquiries should be directed to Nick Sengstaken at Nick.Sengstaken@unc.edu.
